Registered nurse licence verification

The registered nurse licence verification is one of the requirements to endorse into in another state and also to verify the student’scurrent or past licenses. The verification could be of original, current and previous licensure depending on the licensing requirements of the state. Since each board of nursing has different requirements, it is important to contact the board of nursing and request for information required.

The nurse is requesting license verification from aparticipating board of nursing, the nurse can access and complete the online license verification process. And if the nurse is requesting license verification for license or licences from non-participating boards of nursing, the nurse must contact the board of nursing where he/she held the license to request license verification and if the license verification is requested by accessing and completing the online license verification process. Once this process is complete and the fee is paid, verification is available immediately.

Generally the fees to verify a license is $30 per license and the fee to verify both RN and PN licenses is $60 for each jurisdiction being endorsed.

The registered nurse licence verification is available online specially if the state is not listed as a participating board of nursing, generally all the participating boards of nursing provide their data in Nursing for lookup by employers and the general public.

Nurse License Verification is the official process of requesting a license verification to be sent to the state board of nursing for the purpose of getting a new license in that state. The students need to submit the application for licensure; all provide all supporting documents requested, and the pay the appropriatefee to the Board of Nursing to determine eligibility to sit for the exam if applying for the first time

While applying online for verification the individuals need to carefully read all instructions and answer questions on the application including providing details, failure to correctly completing  the application may delay theprocessing of verification. The students provide all information requested on the application with correct spelling and also make the arrangements for the submission of picture ID if required by the licensure service. Generally an application accompanied by the appropriate fee is valid for three years. But if an applicant fails tocomplete the requirements for licensure within three years from the date of filing the application, theapplication is considered as in-valid.
