The major nursing schools provide formal education and training with the help of appropriately design registered nurse programs, the nursing schools offer three programs and these are the following

Associate degree in nursing this program can usually takes only two to three years to complete, after completing the Associate Degree in nursing, a person can work in a hospital. This nursing program is the most popular as it takes a shorter period of time to come to completion.

Bachelor of Science in nursing BSN this course is generally applied after completing the associate degree in nursing andit takes another two years to have a Bachelor of Science degree.

Nursing diploma can be applied after finishing Associate degree or Bachelor of Science degree, after finishing school and receiving your diploma.

After completing any of the three registered nurses educational requirements the candidates need to pass the Licensure exam and the law still binds by taking the National Licensing Examination (NCLEX-RN). After passing from this test, you can now practice the nursing profession.

Many states require registered nurses to continue their education to further develop their skills and to keep up with the latest development in medical science and Registered nurses need to renew their nursing license from time to time.
